The Executive Council (EC) Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) will act as a two-way interface between EC and the technical commissions, the Research Board, and other relevant bodies.

Two Technical Commission and a Research Board were created by the Eighteenth World Meteorological Congress (June 2019) to replace the existing eight Commissions as part of a WMO Constituent Bodies Governance Reform.

The Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (Infrastructure Commission) contributes to the development and implementation of globally coordinated systems for acquiring, processing, transmitting and disseminating Earth system observations, and related standards; coordination of the production and use of standardized analysis and model forecast fields; and development and implementation of sound data and information management practices for all WMO Programmes and their associated application and services areas.
The Commission for Weather, Climate, Water and Related Environmental Services & Applications (Services Commission) contributes to the development and implementation of globally harmonized weather, climate, water, ocean and environment related services and applications to enable informed decision making and realization of socioeconomic benefits by all user communities and society as a whole.
The Research Board on Weather, Climate, Water and the Environment (Research Board) translates the strategic aims of WMO and decisions of Executive Council and Congress into overarching research priorities, and ensures the implementation and coordination of the research programmes to achieve these priorities in accordance with the purposes of Organization defined in Article 2(f) of the Convention.
The Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) acts as a two-way interface between the Executive Council and the technical bodies of the Organizations: technical commissions, the Research Board, and other relevant bodies. It ensures coordination between these bodies and provides the necessary analytical information to inform Executive Council decisions on technical matters. The Committee shall oversee the level of coordination between the technical bodies and the regional associations to ensure that the technical work of the Organization is properly guided by the needs and priorities identified by Members.
The Commissions for Aeronautical Meteorology, Agriculture Meteorology, Climatology, Hydrology and the Intergovernmental Board on Climate Services transitioned into the new Commission for Weather, Climate, Water and Related Environmental Services & Applications (Services Commission) following adoption of the WMO Governance Reform package by the Eighteenth Meteorological Congress in June 2019. The Services Commission established a Standing Committee on Services for Agriculture.
The Commissions for Aeronautical Meteorology, Agriculture Meteorology, Climatology, Hydrology and the Intergovernmental Board on Climate Services transitioned into the new Commission for Weather, Climate, Water and Related Environmental Services & Applications (Services Commission) following adoption of the WMO Governance Reform package by the Eighteenth Meteorological Congress in June 2019. The Services Commission established a Standing Committee on Services for Aviation.
The Commission for Atmospheric Sciences and the World Climate Research Programme transitioned into the Research Board on Weather, Climate, Water and the Environment following adoption of the WMO Governance Reform package by the Eighteenth Meteorological Congress in June 2019.
The Commissions for Basic Systems, for Instruments and Methods of Observations and the Global Climate Observing System transitioned into the new Commission for Observation, Infrastructures and Information Systems (Infrastructure Commission) following adoption of the WMO Governance Reform package by the Eighteenth Meteorological Congress in June 2019.

Based on the recommendations of the Joint WMO-IOC Consultation Group on the Reform of JCOMM, Congress 18 and the 30th IOC Assembly established the Joint WMO-IOC Collaborative Board, which supercedes JCOMM.
